Cruising and foiling on 50 feet catamaran
Private catamaran cruise: practice foiling every day!
Embark on our catamaran, for a cruise adapted to your desires. We sail for a few hours every day to find the best spot depending on the direction of the wind. You prepare your equipment on the large front deck of the catamaran, launching into the water is done through the rear skirts in complete safety. The catamaran is anchored on a sandy bottom behind the coral reef, a huge playground in 2m of turquoise water. Possibility, depending on your level, to navigate the waves at the passes.
Sail from sunrise to sunset in 25C water!
Sailing on the calm and stable catamaran, in the lagoons of the Leeward Islands. The lagoons of Raiatea, Taha’a and Bora-Bora are the best places to practice foiling and most sites are only accessible by boat.
Season from July to November: Mara’amu period (East wind, South-East of 20 knots) air temperature 27C water temperature 25C.
Season from December to June: hot period (wind 10-15 knots)
For your safety, a Zodiac constantly monitors you to advise you and bring you back in case of difficulty.
Other activities are planned such as the discovery of the islands and Polynesian culture, hiking on the mountains, visits to pearl farms, vanilla groves, rum distilleries, etc...
All of your meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are prepared by our cook who favors traditional Polynesian cuisine. She will introduce you to new fruits and vegetables coming directly from the islands visited.
Description of the Azyu catamaran:
The Azyu catamaran was renovated in 2015, its length is 15m (50 feet) and 7.5m wide. Guests are welcomed in the starboard hull which has 2 double bedrooms (150cm x 200cm bed) with 2 private bathrooms, a single cabin (110cm x 200cm bed). Electricity and fresh water are produced on board, the boat is completely autonomous. Fridge and freezer, fan in each cabin, Wifi on board.
Possibility of loaning Wing-foil equipment for beginners.
Equipment: Gong Hipe inflatable 5.3 110l, Gong carbon foil 1m, Front Wing Curve XL, Veloce L and M, Naish wing 4.6m, Fone Strike V2 wing 5m.
Snorkeling equipment: Fins, masks and snorkels.
Fishing equipment: Fishing rods, trolling rods (tuna, swordfish), Spearfishing guns.
Other equipment: Paddle board, Kayak, Towed buoy, inflatable buoys.
Introductory or advanced courses possible with a Wing Foil school on Raiatea.
